MIGHTY COMMANDER

Four weeks ago, over this same distance, the horse performed impressively despite a slow start, settling towards the rear before making a strong late run with fast sectionals to finish third. He was beaten only one length and showed good ability. This time he carries an additional three pounds, but drew a poor barrier. The plan is again to settle back in the field; however, his finishing kick may not be as strong as rivals'. Trainer-jockey combination isn’t ideal, though the horse has proven form over this course and distance with competitive sectionals. A jockey change to Lee Mun Wah appears positive, and morning trackwork shows improvement, suggesting a potential win is forthcoming.
