On December 18th (Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 3-3-3), the horse maintained a forward position throughout. Six weeks ago, in a Happy Valley mile race, it was very disappointing, with a slow start and settling towards the rear. The pace was steady but lacked a finishing burst. A recent barrier trial performance was satisfactory. Making its debut on Sha Tin turf over 1400m this time with a two-pound weight reduction, the distance may not be ideal and the finishing kick was weak. However, drawing a good barrier allows it to track the pace, offering a favorable setup. As long as the jump out is clean and it can settle forward, an improved performance is expected.
