He maintained a steady pace but lacked any notable acceleration and finished well-beaten. In a subsequent straight course trial, he benefits from a three-pound weight reduction for this race and has comparable times to horses in the same group. Drawing a good barrier, the plan is again to settle towards the back with a strong finishing kick expected. Compared to other contenders, he possesses a relative strength advantage. Alexis Badel takes the ride, demonstrating familiarity with the horse’s capabilities; however, despite this, the form isn't ideal and the trainer-jockey combination hasn’t proven particularly successful making him an outsider in this contest.
