On December 15th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse urged strongly to maintain pace. Six weeks ago in a Happy Valley 1200m race, it ran well despite a slow jump and settled towards the rear before finishing with a strong late run. A subsequent barrier trial didn't demonstrate improvement. Making its debut on Sha Tin turf over 1400m this time with a two-pound weight reduction, the distance is not ideal and the draw isn’t advantageous, but it should benefit from being held up for a strong finishing kick, which is its strongest asset; expected to improve significantly.
