Three weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley 1200m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a strong finish. He finished beaten two and a half lengths. Now trying Sha Tin over 1400m for the first time, he receives a three-pound weight reduction, is expected to handle the distance well, and has the potential to lead early. Drawing an inside barrier provides an advantageous position. Derek Leung takes the ride, forming a good partnership with the horse, and preparations have been thorough. Even if his finishing kick isn't strong, and despite trainer/jockey compatibility concerns, a clean break and intention to lead should see improvement.
