On 10/1, this horse completed a 1000m turf trial at Happy Valley in running positions of 7-7-2, making ground to finish eighth and ninth. On December 30th, he recorded strong turf trial form over 800m at Conghua, tracking second comfortably with an easy pace in running positions of 2-2-2. In April, this horse ran a disappointing race over the same distance, settling in a good position while following the leaders and maintaining a steady pace but lacking a finishing kick. After a long break, he has had two barrier trials showing slight improvement. This time carrying one pound less weight, his finishing speed is questionable with an unfavorable draw. The trainer-jockey combination isn’t ideal, despite similar times in previous runs. He's drawn well and can track the pace. Luke Ferraris takes the ride, demonstrating some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities. A final gallop prior to race day showed no significant signs of improvement.
