On 6/2, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections: 8-8-7), the horse was relaxed in the early stages, with some urging from the jockey and wasn’t beaten far. Three weeks ago, over the same distance, the performance was reasonable; it jumped slowly but finished strongly while trailing behind. A recent barrier trial didn't fully demonstrate its potential. This race offers a 5lb weight reduction, however, the timing of its group is unremarkable. The plan is to settle back in this race, though its finishing kick is unlikely to match rivals. The current form isn’t ideal and trainer-jockey combination appears less than harmonious. Despite having some past successes at this distance, the jockey change to Lyle Hewitson suggests a limited understanding of the horse's capabilities.
