Five days ago (5/2), over a dirt trial of 1200m, the horse travelled comfortably making ground from midfield and maintaining a steady pace (8-8-6). On March 23rd (23/1) during another dirt trial of 1200m, it circled wide throughout and ran quietly tracking the leaders on the straight. Six weeks ago, in its last run over Sha Tin’s 1600m turf, the performance was poor; a slow jump led to settling at the rear with a steady pace but no finishing kick. Two barrier trials have been undertaken without showing marked improvement. Another dirt mile trial was completed recently, and this time it benefits from a three-pound weight reduction, drawing an outside barrier. The plan is to settle back in the field, however, its finishing speed appears inferior to rivals meaning the situation isn’t ideal, though the group's overall time wasn’t significantly slower indicating retained enthusiasm.
