Three weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse jumped slowly and settled towards the rear but maintained a steady pace without showing a strong acceleration. This time with a one-pound weight reduction, the plan is to again settle back in the field, however, the finishing kick isn’t expected to be as strong as rivals. The barrier draw isn't ideal, trainer/jockey combination doesn’t seem harmonious. Despite having four wins from fourteen attempts at this distance and respectable times overall, he drew an inside barrier and has a jockey change to Hugh Bowman who is somewhat familiar with the horse but not considered a leading contender for this race.
