CAMP FIRE

On February 24th, a turf trial over 1000m saw the horse finish 4th-5th-10th, fading in the middle stages and dropping back. On March 15th, a dirt trial over 1200m showed him leading from the rail but lacking a strong finish. In early March, this horse performed poorly over the same distance, slow to jump and settling towards the rear, maintaining an even pace throughout before making up some ground late. Two barrier trials haven't shown any improvement. He has failed to place in five attempts at this distance; the time difference against his group is unfavorable, the barrier draw is not ideal, a hold-up tactics may leave him unable to reach the leaders, and trainer-jockey cooperation is lacking. He doesn’t appear likely to contend.
