On February 27th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse tracking the pack with some improvement compared to previous efforts. Five weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, it underperformed, settling towards the rear with an even pace throughout and a slow finishing kick. A subsequent barrier trial didn’t reveal significant progress. The current draw isn't favorable, with a slightly weak finishing burst observed in the trial and trainer-jockey synergy not yet fully established. Despite a six-pound weight reduction for this race, having secured two wins at this distance and maintaining acceptable time figures, a strong showing isn't guaranteed.
