In a subsequent trial over a Happy Valley mile, it was his first attempt at the distance and didn't perform impressively in terms of time. The circumstances weren’t ideal and finishing kick was slightly lacking; there wasn’t a particularly strong rapport between trainer and jockey. Even with a three-pound weight reduction and an advantageous barrier draw this time, prospects appear limited.
