On February 27th, the horse completed a turf trial over 1600m at Conghua, performing adequately. Seven weeks ago in a similar race, it ran poorly, with a slow start and settling towards the rear. It maintained a consistent pace throughout but made up some ground late, finishing three and a half lengths behind. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This time benefiting from a one-pound weight reduction, its time figures remain acceptable. An advantageous draw is secured, and it continues to show positive trackwork. Despite having never won in nine attempts over this distance and needing to settle towards the back, lacking the finishing speed of rivals, and a trainer/jockey partnership that hasn’t shown strong synergy yet, there's still potential for contention.
