On March 12th (Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 1-1-2), the horse travelled comfortably along the rail, maintaining a consistent pace with prompting. On October 18th (Happy Valley turf trial 1200m: 9-10-9) he was urged forward on the straight but showed limited improvement in speed. In June, over the same distance in its last run, the horse performed poorly, settling in a good position tracking the leaders before fading away at the end and finishing well back. Two subsequent barrier trials have shown slight progress. Time figures are weak; the draw is unfavourable, with a moderate finishing kick. The trainer-jockey combination isn't ideal, however, its early speed should allow it to contend for a forward position and has previous form over this distance, making it capable of securing a place.
