Three weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley mile, leading early but fading in the final stages. Dropping back in class, it switched to a dirt mile for its first attempt at the distance and showed respectable time. A favorable barrier draw has been secured, and preparation appears thorough. Despite needing to carry 16 pounds more this time with less advantageous circumstances, a finishing kick hasn’t been demonstrated yet, but still remains competitive for a placing.
