JOLLY JUMPER

On March 19th (Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 5-5-6), the jump was slow and response was moderate with urging. Four weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over Happy Valley 1800m, taking an early lead but finishing three lengths behind the winner. One barrier trial showed unremarkable form. Returning to dirt mile, the finishing kick was slightly lacking, and trainer-jockey combination wasn't particularly harmonious; however, it managed to track the leaders and maintain acceptable time figures, suggesting potential as a longshot contender.
