March 3rd (dirt trial 1200m: 3-3-5), the horse jumped quickly but lacked acceleration in the straight. Seven weeks ago over the same distance, it ran a solid race, settling well and finishing within two and a half lengths of the winner. Two barrier trials have shown slight improvement. The horse has proven records over this distance with acceptable time figures, and is capable of settling forward. Overall ratings place it among the leading contenders in its class. Horse and jockey appear well-matched, maintaining stable form; however, it carries an additional pound this time, has a disadvantageous draw, and may lack a strong finishing kick. Still considered worthy of attention.
