In its subsequent dirt mile race, it was disadvantaged by slower sectional times and an unfavorable barrier draw, lacking a strong finishing kick. The jockey-trainer combination wasn’t ideal; however, having secured two wins over this distance previously and benefiting from a 2lb weight reduction this time, some hope remains.
