Three weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over Happy Valley 1200m, settling towards the rear. Switching to dirt over 1200m last start, it was his first attempt at this distance and the trip didn’t suit; time figures were unremarkable, and the race shape wasn't ideal. Settling back in the field again, his finishing kick may not be strong enough to compete with rivals. The trainer-jockey combination isn’t particularly strong, however, an advantageous barrier draw and an 8lb weight reduction offer some hope, but he isn't considered a top pick for this race.
