Two weeks ago, in a straight course race, the horse performed poorly, settling nicely tracking the leaders at a consistent pace throughout but lacking acceleration. Although defeated, it was only by three lengths and showed reasonable ability. Switching to a 1200m dirt track race this time, it’s the first attempt at this distance with a lack of significant synergy between horse and jockey. However, it can hold an advantageous forward position and the distance is expected to suit, making it a potential dark horse contender.
