EXCEED THE WISH

Five weeks ago, this horse ran disappointingly over a Sha Tin 1400m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace throughout but showing unremarkable form. He finished beaten three and a half lengths. Switching to Happy Valley over a mile for its debut at this distance, it posted a reasonable time performance and benefitted from a favourable barrier draw. Finishing towards the rear, it demonstrated the strongest finishing kick in the group. Trainer-jockey combination is adequate; recent trackwork looks promising, however, the distance may not suit and conditions aren’t ideal, making it one to consider.
