On March 31st, a dirt trial over 1200m showed a slow jump and lack of pace (9-9-9). On April 30th, in a turf trial over 1600m at Conghua, he jumped slowly and struggled to find a clear position on the straight before finishing with a late run. In March, this horse performed well over 1200m on the Sha Tin turf, jumping moderately but settling towards the rear and maintaining a steady pace, making up ground in the final stages. Two recent trials have not revealed significant improvement. This time stepping to a Happy Valley mile for his debut at this distance, the trip may not suit him and he doesn't appear ideally positioned. His finishing kick was slightly lacking last run, but drawing a good barrier and having reasonable time figures means he should not be discounted.
