RYUI KOKOROE

Following a dirt trial over 1200m on April 2nd (from Conghua, sections of 3-4-1), the horse was slow to jump but responded well when urged forward. Six weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf mile race, it performed poorly, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with an even pace throughout and showing unremarkable movement. A subsequent barrier trial indicated slight improvement. Returning to Happy Valley over 1200m, the horse faces unfavorable conditions due to a poor draw and less-than-ideal trainer-jockey combination; however, a hold-up strategy is planned, possessing the strongest finishing kick in its group with reasonable time figures, remaining a low probability contender.
