Thirteen days ago, this horse performed creditably in a straight course race; despite a slow start and settling towards the rear, he maintained a steady pace and made some ground late to finish only two and a half lengths behind the winner, showing high ability. In a recent 1400m turf trial, his finishing kick was not particularly impressive and the rapport between trainer and jockey appeared lacking; however, given his sufficient early speed to compete for position and an ideal draw this time, he remains one to watch.
