Ran a good race over the same distance four weeks ago, jumping slowly and settling back; he maintained a steady rhythm throughout and made up significant ground in the final stages. A recent trial showed he is not yet fully prepared. Given the unfavorable circumstances and a poor draw, if ridden from the rear, he may struggle to catch the leaders late in the race. The connection between trainer and jockey is also unremarkable. However, with decent sectional times within this group and a 2lb weight allowance this time, he could be a dark horse for a place.
