Six weeks ago, he ran a disappointing race over the same distance, settling back and maintaining a steady pace with nothing to show for it. He has shown slight improvement in a recent barrier trial. Carrying 2lb less this time, he has proven form over this course and distance with respectable timings. Overall rating places him among the top contenders; given his recent upward trend, he is expected to contend again.
