Three weeks ago, the horse performed respectably in a 1200m dirt trial and showed good acceleration. Now running on Happy Valley turf over a short distance for the first time, it is carrying an extra 26 pounds this race. The trip does not suit the horse, and the going is disadvantageous; its drawing position is not ideal, requiring it to run from off the pace, where its finishing kick may be inferior to that of its rivals. The rapport between the jockey and trainer is not particularly strong, but despite this, recent fitness levels are acceptable and the horse's condition does not look poor, so caution is advised.
