In his subsequent Happy Valley short-distance trial, this was his first attempt over this distance. For this race, he needs to carry two pounds more; the trip may not suit him, and his draw is less favorable. His finishing kick was slightly lacking, and the jockey-trainer combination was not ideal. However, his ability to maintain a good forward position is an advantage, and the timing of the race group is acceptable; he could be a dark horse to watch.
