CHIU CHOW GOLF

Last tried in a 1200m dirt barrier trial on April 24th (3-3-4), ridden lightly, finished just short. In a 1200m Happy Valley turf barrier trial on March 14th (5-4-2), ran evenly, closing in steadily. In a 1200m Conghua turf trial on February 27th (3-3-2), showed some signs of improvement, gradually finding his rhythm. In a 1200m Conghua turf trial on June 2nd (4-5-7), ran wide, ridden to the pace. In a 1000m Conghua turf trial on January 16th (4-6-6), ran smoothly, easy stride. In an 800m Conghua turf trial on December 30th (9-9-8), jumped clumsily and trailed slowly. As a debutant, the horse began training in November last year after arriving in Hong Kong and has completed six barrier trials with slight improvements. Though his stride was slightly high, he shows good acceleration and is suited to both 1200m and a mile, possessing decent fighting spirit. Given his willingness to chase, if the training is good, he has the ability to challenge rivals even with extra weight in this race.
