Three weeks ago, he performed reasonably well in a short-distance run on Happy Valley turf; he was slow to break and settled towards the rear, progressing steadily along the way before gradually closing in at the finish. A recent trial showed slight improvement. He will run on Happy Valley turf over 1200m this time, carrying an extra pound. His timing figures are slightly weak, and his position in the race is somewhat disadvantageous. The jockey and trainer combination is not yet ideal, but his finishing kick is among the best in his group. Having won three of fifteen starts at this track, he has a chance to place.
