Fourteen days ago, the horse performed disappointingly over a distance on Happy Valley turf; it jumped slowly and settled towards the rear, maintaining an even pace throughout before gradually closing in at the finish. In a subsequent Happy Valley mile run, the time figure was weak and the circumstances were disadvantageous; the late closing speed was slightly inferior, and the jockey-trainer combination was not ideal.
