8/5 (Happy Valley turf trial 1700m: positioned 5-5-5-1) curved wide to secure the win. Four weeks ago, he performed well in a 1800m dirt race; though slow coming out of the gate and running from the rear, his pace was steady, gradually closing in towards the finish. Fortunately, he didn't carry too much weight and only lost by three and a half lengths. He has shown improvement in recent trials. In his last Sha Tin turf run over 1800m, he carried two pounds less and put up an acceptable time. Overall assessment places him among the leaders in the field; the jockey has a good understanding of the horse's temperament, and the jockey-trainer combination is decent. Preparation for this race is serious, although his current setup isn't ideal and his finishing burst is slightly lacking, he still possesses winning potential.
