SUPERB BOY

5/5 (Dirt trial 1050m: 1-2-1) Jumped out fastest, held slightly in the bends, settled comfortably, and won at the finish. Five weeks ago, he ran a disappointing race over a Happy Valley mile-two, trailing throughout with an even pace and unimpressive running style. He has improved in a recent trial. Having run over Sha Tin 1400m previously, he has won twice in that distance with respectable times. With ideal draw and the ability to hold a favorable forward position, the jockey is familiar with the horse, and the training partnership seems harmonious. Training has been proactive; even if he needs to carry five pounds extra in this race and his finishing kick hasn't been outstanding, he is still worth a look.
