Last ran winner performed excellently in a straight-up race three weeks ago; he jumped out slowly, settled towards the rear, maintained an average pace throughout, gradually closing in at the finish to win. In his previous run over 1200m on Sha Tin turf, it was his debut at this distance and the trip is clearly suited to him. His timing in the group was acceptable, making him one of the highest-rated horses for today's race. While the jockey and trainer combination is decent, he will carry seven pounds more weight this time, his positioning has not shown good synergy yet, and if he adopts a rearward running style, his closing speed may not match the competition; he remains in contention for the win.
