Trial reports: 18/5 (Zonghua turf trial over 1000m, running positions: 7-5-6) showed a tepid response to strong urging; 11/5 (Zonghua turf trial over 1000m, running positions: 9-8-7) exhibited clumsy jumping and an average reaction despite a strong run; 27/4 (Zonghua turf trial over 800m, running positions: 9-9-8) was a serious test but showed no strong progression; 20/4 (Zonghua turf trial over 800m, running positions: 4-5-5) was overshadowed by the main pack and unremarkable. This is a debutant, with racing starting in early January after arriving in Hong Kong. Four trials have been run, with disappointing results: high front end and slow footfalls suggest quickness is lacking. As a debutant, observe first before following up if a good pattern emerges.
