On May 29th, the horse ran in a trial at Conghua over 1000m on turf (3-3-5), which was a light indication with no significant ups or downs. On May 11th, the trial over 1200m on turf at Conghua was a test run where the movement was acceptable. Three months ago, in a race over 1200m on Happy Valley turf, the performance was poor; he tracked from the rear with a steady pace but average form. After two training trials, there was some improvement. In the last run over 1200m on Sha Tin turf, he was defeated in all five races; the time figures were weak and the form not favorable. He tracked from the rear, lacking the finishing power of his rivals, and the jockey-trainer combination was not ideal. The only positive is that he put in good pre-race work, and for this race there is a two-pound allowance, which might be advantageous.
