Five weeks ago, this horse had a poor run over a Happy Valley mile; he was slow to get going from the gates, tracked the pace, accelerated in the middle stages, but his closing speed waned significantly, resulting in a heavy defeat. Running over 1400m on Sha Tin turf subsequently proved unfavorable; tracking the pace in a competitive run, his finishing kick may not have matched that of his rivals. The partnership between jockey and trainer has not been standout, but given he has won twice previously and his time figures are still acceptable, he is not selected for this race.
