Eight weeks ago, his performance over 1600m on Sha Tin turf was very poor; he settled well near the pace but weakened in the final stages, resulting in a heavy defeat. A recent trial run showed he couldn't keep up with the pace. In another Sha Tin 1400m trial, where he has won twice previously and his times are still respectable, the race conditions align well, the draw is favorable, and his early speed is sufficient to contest position proactively. Even if his late kick is slightly inferior or the jockey-trainer partnership isn't outstanding, he may still have a chance.
