June 22nd (Sha Tin turf trial over 1000m: 4-3-4) flowed smoothly, receiving no real test. Eight weeks ago in a similar race, the performance was disappointing; starting slowly and tracking from the rear with an average pace throughout. He made up ground in the final stages but was beaten by three lengths, fortunately not far behind. The recent trial showed performance was satisfactory. This time there is a three-pound weight allowance, and the horse has two wins in this trip with acceptable sectional times. He is expected to track from the rear, possessing a strong closing kick among his peers. The jockey-trainer partnership remains smooth, though the race conditions and draw haven't been ideal—he should not be overlooked.
