On 23/6, in a dirt trial over 1200m (with a running pattern of 1-1-1), the horse showed strong early speed, leading throughout. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf race over 1200m, the performance was poor; he tracked the pace well but lost momentum in the final stages and finished badly. The recent trial showed improvement. In a subsequent straight-line race, this was his first attempt at this distance; the trip did not suit him, and his time performance was underwhelming. The odds are unfavorable, barrier draw is poor, and the finishing kick is slightly lacking; jockey-trainer coordination has not been prominent, making high expectations difficult.
