Ran a 1000m barrier trial on Sha Tin turf on June 22nd (6-6-3), finishing slowly but closing in late. Three weeks ago, running in the same race, he performed well, tracking near the front from a good position with decent late running. Fortunately, he was not far behind, finishing only two and a half lengths back. A recent trial showed slight improvement. This time he carries seven pounds less, his timing in the race is good, and with a sustained run from the rear, his finishing kick remains a threat. His overall rating places him near the top in this field; the jockey has some grasp of the horse's temperament, and there is good synergy between trainer and rider. Training has been active; however, the circumstances are not ideal, and his draw is poor, though he still has the potential to contend for a win.
