Trial on 30/6 (dirt trial 1200m: 6-4-1) showed a slightly slow start, but he accelerated on the turn and easily passed rivals in the final 200m. Seven weeks ago, he ran poorly over a Sha Tin mile (1400m) on turf; slow to get going, he tracked the pace and showed weakening late speed. A recent trial shows improvement. In his previous Happy Valley mile run, the time was respectable, with an ideal draw, and his finishing kick within the group was the strongest. Based on overall assessment, he is among the top contenders for this race. With a good combination of jockey style and horse ability, and active training, he could still be competitive despite not having a perfectly ideal setup.
