Though slow to get going from the starting gate and running towards the rear, his pace along the way was even, and he gradually closed in during the final stages. He chased strongly but ultimately finished second-to-last, beaten by three lengths. Having failed in his last four starts, the prospects are slightly unfavorable due to a disadvantageous draw and somewhat lacking finishing power, coupled with not-ideal jockey/trainer coordination. However, his time performance was decent, so it is not surprising if he underperformed.
