SPEEDY POWER

Two weeks ago, this horse performed creditably in a straight-line race. He was slow to break but maintained his position further back, with a steady run that saw him gradually close in at the finish. Fortunately, he wasn't too far behind, finishing only three and a half lengths back. Switching to Happy Valley over 1200m, this was his first attempt at this distance on the turf. The trip did not suit him, and in a group where there was a time difference, his position was unfavorable. His placement was not ideal, and the rider-trainer combination was not optimal; he is not a contender for this race.
