Four weeks ago, the horse performed reasonably well over 1600m on Sha Tin turf, tracking the leaders and gradually closing in in the final stages. Now moving up in class to run over 1800m on Happy Valley turf for the first time, the circumstances do not appear to favor him. He ran in a tactical gallop from behind, and his finishing kick may not match that of the opposition. The connection between jockey and trainer isn't particularly harmonious, but he may still have a chance due to favorable draw and acceptable group timing.
