Ran a 1200m dirt barrier trial on June 23rd, showing an easy run (6-6-6). Six weeks ago, the performance on Sha Tin turf over 1800m was very disappointing; he tracked the leaders well but weakened in the closing stages, resulting in a heavy defeat. A recent trial did not show improvement. Stepping up in class to run over 1800m on Happy Valley turf for the first time, he has not suited the distance. His sectional times were weak, and his prospects do not look favorable. The jockey and trainer pairing was not ideal, but he is the strongest late runner in his group and has an advantageous draw, so caution is advised.
