After being promoted to this level, it ran over 1800m on Happy Valley turf and lost all three subsequent starts; its time figures were weak, the circumstances unfavorable, and it lacked a noticeable finishing kick. The jockey and trainer connection doesn't seem particularly strong, but credit should be given to the thorough preparation, coupled with a five-pound weight reduction this time around, suggesting it might be well-timed.
