On 31/8, in a Sha Tin turf barrier trial over 1200m (8-8-8), the horse was constantly urged but failed to advance. Having made its season debut, two months ago it ran disappointingly over 1400m on Sha Tin turf, settling well and tracking the leaders but showing weakened late running. A subsequent trial run showed no improvement. Shifting to Happy Valley turf for the mile debut, the distance proved unsuitable; its time performance was unremarkable and lacked a distinct finishing kick. The jockey-trainer combination was not ideal, though the horse has the ability to quicken and its racing conditions are not poor, making high expectations unwarranted.
