(25/8 Sha Tin turf trial 1200m: 1-1-1) settled mid-pack and quick out, showing both early pace and late kick. This is his first start this season; two months ago in Happy Valley over 1200m, he performed poorly, tracking the pace and maintaining a steady gallop throughout, with average speed and unremarkable shape. Fortunately, he wasn't too far behind, finishing only two and a half lengths off the winner. After a trial run, there was slight improvement shown. He has since tried a short Happy Valley burst; in this race he carries four pounds less, performed respectably against his field, maintaining a good position tracking the leaders and showing strong late momentum within the group. Overall assessment ranks him highly in this field, with smooth cooperation between jockey and trainer, and a decent appearance in recent workouts; however, his record of three consecutive losses and inconsistent placings should not be overlooked.
