Seven days ago, the horse performed poorly in a Sha Tin 1400m on turf; he was slow to jump, tracked at the rear, maintained an average pace throughout, and managed to regain some ground in the final stages. Now shifting to a mile on dirt for his debut over this distance, he showed acceptable times in the group, has an advantageous draw, and needs to track at the rear. His finishing kick is arguably the strongest in the group, rating him as one of the best contenders today; however, he faces an extra eight pounds in this race, the distance may not suit him perfectly, his prospects are slightly unfavorable, and the jockey/trainer combination is not yet ideal, but he remains a key consideration.
